God's Grace

"Shield of Faith"
by Atlanta Marie Carrera
God's grace shines down upon this child,
an innocent whose slate is clean,
surrounded now by love supreme,
protected through this very sin.

What does this world now hold for him?
A life of struggle, trapped within,
a lowly state in human terms,
but souls are meant for bigger things.

Our judgement skewed by limited view.
Open wide our hearts to you,
and feel God's Grace upon this earth,
and fear no more from all this hurt.

For what was Lost

"Fleur-de-lis"
by Atlanta Marie Carrera
For what was lost that used to be,
I pray for love in tragedy.
Surround our souls with healing force,
and give us strength to find ourselves.

With hugs and tears, there are no words.
Spread now the light and sound the gong!
so blind will see and deaf will hear.
Our actions speak, so all is clear.

Let faith bring peace upon this earth,
and comfort hearts that bleed so deep
New futures rise and hope endures,
from what was lost that used to be.
